About The Founder/Lead Consultant
Daniel Bryan, Jr. is a financial coach, educator, and consultant who has been recognized for his work with community-based organizations that focus on asset building for low income families. He is the principal and founder of Pearl Financial Literacy, an organization dedicated to helping communities develop financial education programs that focus on the complete financial life cycle of the intended participants.
Daniel has developed and facilitated numerous financial management trainings that provide the participants with the education necessary to understand their financial behavior and to develop their own financial plan. Daniel believes in linking financial choice to personal values and in helping individuals acquire the knowledge to become their own financial expert.
Daniel has over a decade of experience as a financial management and development consultant for local non-profit organizations, government agencies, and individuals and small business owners as a financial advisor with Ameriprise Financial, Inc. formerly American Express Financial Advisors. He has served on several boards for these organizations and has conducted workshops for agencies to increase their responsiveness to the non-profit community.
Prior to his career in the personal financial arena, he served for over a decade in various administrative positions, ending as a senior corporate financial analyst for the Philadelphia Electric Company, and the Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland (PJM) Interconnection, LLC the preeminent regional transmission operator (RTO) or power grid in the United States.
A son of a Philadelphia school teacher and guidance counselor, Daniel has a natural affinity for education, and has volunteered to teach money management classes for local public schools in the Philadelphia, PA area to provide a basic financial foundation for students and faculty alike.
Daniel is the proud recipient of a B.B.A. in Management from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, and was licensed to conduct securities transactions in over 12 states throughout the mid-Atlantic and south-eastern regions of the country.
